Protecting WIC Access for Arkansas Families

The Sexton Group designed and executed a live voter contact program focused on education and immediate action. Conversations highlighted the importance of WIC, emphasizing that 41% of Arkansas babies rely on the program for healthy food, formula, and nutrition support. Voters were informed that weakening existing policies could create new barriers requiring families to travel to federal offices to receive benefits.

Supporters were then asked to:

  • Voice their support for protecting current WIC rules.
  • Connect directly with Senator John Boozman's office through a live patch call.
  • Join the campaign's advocacy network by providing their contact information.

This layered engagement strategy transformed issue education into direct constituent advocacy while building long-term grassroots capacity.

Protecting WIC Access for Arkansas Families

The campaign successfully moved thousands of Arkansas constituents beyond awareness and into direct civic engagement. Through strategic issue education and seamless live transfers, Tusk Philanthropies generated 2,287 constituent calls to Senator John Boozman's office, giving Arkansas families a direct voice in protecting nutrition assistance for mothers and children.

At the same time, the campaign built a growing network of engaged supporters for future advocacy efforts, demonstrating how targeted voter contact can effectively influence public policy while strengthening long-term grassroots organizing.
